Experimental and analytical study of the aerodynamic noise emitted by distributed electric propulsion systems
This research aims to optimize generic wing-propeller configurations' aerodynamic and acoustic effects through a parametric study, using analytical models and experiments performed in an open-jet anechoic facility. The addressed configurations (mimicking Distributed Electric Propulsion systems for future urban air vehicles) include two small-scale propellers and a rectangular wing. The main goal is to determine a multi-criterion optimum, associating minimum noise and maximum aerodynamic efficiency
