Propagation of Wind Farm Noise
the PhD thesis objective is to study the effects of atmospheric conditions on wind farm noise propagation by means of numerical simulations. The study is carried out both at the scale of a single wind turbine and for a complete wind farm. Several atmospheric conditions are studied (stable, neutral, convective ...). The methods used are Large Eddy SImulation (LES) for the aerodynamic of the flow around the wind turbine. For the acoustic part, propagation methods such as parabolic equation based methods or linearized Euler equation methods are used.
